Custom Airframes is growing!!! As many of you know, Custom Airframes has essentially been a 2 person operation with Mike and Melissa handling everything. As our kits have become more popular it has become increasingly difficult to keep up with demand, sometimes causing excessive lead times. Mike has been dealing with some very serious health and extended family issues and Melissa has been busy trying juggle caring for Mike as well as their disabled son, along with handling all other family duties. It has become painfully obvious that how we were doing things wasn't going to work anymore. We have decided to add some new faces to the Custom Airframes staff to help ease the work load of Mike and Melissa. While this change is occurring we will be suspending kit sales as we work on developing some new techniques to improve our kits and service. We will still be offering parts for current kits, but lead times WILL vary. Mike is going to take a much needed sabbatical to work on his health and get a chance to enjoy life and airplanes again. Mike began this journey as a pattern competitor, and hasn't been able to practice and compete with any real effort since July of 2007.

The team is currently working on some new designs and also pushing forward with some designs that have been pushed to the side recently. We remain committed to proving top level performance from an American made kit manufacturer. Please be patient while these changes are occurring and we assure you it will be worth it in the end. With that being said, please help us in welcoming Pete Cosky to the Custom Airframes Staff. Pete will be handling all day to day operations and fielding any questions. Pete has been handling our web duties for some time now and is very knowledgeable about our products.
